This was such a good read. Definitely more steamy and I love a good second chance romance where it makes sense for the person to be given a second chance. Love that the author puts a lot of work into the disability rep, and shows that disabled people deserve love and romance too. The narrators did a wonderful job. Hope there are more books in this series.

Really loved this series, like Grix and Vess and the crew of the Sundog had me completely wrapped up in their journey and it only took me this long to read the final volume cause I couldn't get my hands on it sooner. I was a little bit disappointed that this volume felt rushed given it concludes such an expansive and nuanced arc. The conclusion to the story, and the fact that we got to see nothing of what came afterwards felt really unsatisfying. Understandably the big change desired by the rebellion would take a long time, but we could've at least been shown a little bit down the road to see where the characters, especially Grix and Vess, stood given everything that was going on. I also felt that some of the art panels were not as great quality as in the previous volumes. Overall though, I really did enjoy it and if more was written in this universe I'd totally snatch those books right up.

This book was my introduction to a series I absolutely love. Something Is Killing the Children definitely isn't a graphic novel for the faint of heart with it's pretty graphic depictions of supernatural & paranormal violence, fear, and monsters killing people. However, I still recommend it if you're into the monster of the week type supernatural tv shows and such. This would be an entirely awesome premise for a tv show in my opinion. The side characters are interesting, and have their own personalities and stories that definitely draw you in, but the main character, Erica, who really shines. With her mysterious past and the information we're slowly introduced to regarding it, and the House of Slaughter, this story does tension and mystery really well to add to that feeling of the spooktacular. And I have to add that the illustration is phenomenal. The colors used really sell that spooky horror vibe, and are somehow still beautiful. So, yeah, if you're looking for a graphic novel for the spooky months? This is it. Though definitely check the content warnings, folks.
