Wonderful book with beautiful writing. I should've read this sooner. I loved it. For the full review: http://erraticprojectjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/01/secret-daughter-by-shilpi-somaya-gowda.html

I loved this book. I recommend reading The White Queen first, it made this one a lot easier to dive into. The White Queen is written from the point of view of Elizabeth Woodville, Queen of the York line, while The Red Queen is written from the point of view of Margaret Beaufort, the mother of the Lancaster heir. By reading both books you get a clear view of the War of the Roses from both sides of the lines. Unlike The White Queen, I found that it was easier to keep track of the characters in this book and that I didn't get lost in the repeating family names. Whether this is due to my familiarity with the story from the other side or just a difference in the writing I cannot say. These books are wonderful for anyone with a love of either historical fiction or just fascination with the royal lineage of England. I would read any of Philippa Gregory's books over and over again.

A fantastic read! If you liked Water for Elephants and you like books like Harry Potter then you will love this book. It has a childish charm, but still holds you captive from beginning to end. I loved this book. Very charming. It's a very good adaptation of the Peter Pan story. It doesn't take anything away from the original version. If anything, it actually takes away a little bit of the fantastical and makes the story more believable.

Drat!! Again!! I thought this was the end of the series. Fail. Apparently at least one more to go... I'll be impatiently waiting. (Full review to come...)

Really, really enjoyed this book! I liked the addition of the ephemera, I think it was a nice touch. The book wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it hooked me right away. I really liked the playlists and even found some new music to listen to. The characters and the narrative were wonderful and easy to slip into. I had some difficulty with the ending since the book is a standalone and I felt like I wanted to know more of the story and keep going. Other than that, no complaints. Looking forward to reading another of her novels soon.
