4.5 stars. The writing in this book is so wonderful. Everything just feels so smooth and soothing. There is a lot of heartbreak and difficult situation wrapped up in the narrative, but somehow the delivery makes it incredibly beautiful. It is a heartbreaking story that hurts so good.

Though I have been enjoying this series and the creativity of flipping a fairytale on its head, this one felt a little bit young and maybe a bit sloppy. It was okay and cute in places, but still had a bit of the cheese edge to it. It was definitely long for the story that was told, so audio was absolutely the way to go.
