Amazing, I read it in one sitting. It has some weird pacing at times, and some oddball scenes here and there but nothing that deters from the story.

Guilty pleasure read, but make it unpleasant ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The plot's a bit weak to be honest, and after a while I got tired of hearing how perfect both Josh and Lucy are with equally amazing blue eyes and shapely bodies. It has some fun dialogue lines, but overall it feels like a fanfiction turned book.

I saw many of my concerns and thoughts about death reflected and answered in this book, and I was given lots more to ponder. Caitlin has a way of writing these things nonchalantly and straight to the facts, while mantaining an engaging and eerie, reflective vibe.

This is my first book by SMG and I'm in love with the way she writes, this is exactly what I would've wanted to read as a teen obsessed with urban fantasy. It's obvious and appreciated that the author did her research before writing, plus the love story is woven so beautifully with the actual plot that it's compelling without taking over the action. The ending is bittersweet but so, so satisfactory and the characters and character growth is beyond anything I've read in a while. 5 stars!

Revisiting after a recent re-read (2022): It is a brilliant story and I love the ending, although the timeline and flow of the story could've done with some editing to make it run seamlessly.
As for the romance, I still think there's something there but at times it can feel forced especially because it tends to fade to the background when not needed for plot purposes. I also think it tends to conflate love with lust but eh that's just me being nitpicky.
I would still recommend it and think it's great for people who like urban fantasy but would like to see other mythologies represented.

This was basically OUAT but without Lana Parilla's gorgeous prescence. Non-sensical, tone deaf, and historically innacurate af.
Also what's with David having OCD and suddenly not when it's convenient for the plot?

I mean it's what it says on the cover. Thought I was gonna like it more, but there must be an essence to the human mind because years and kilometers away from each other, this manages to sound like Plato's dialogues (please come @ me Philosophy majors and enthusiasts, I'm dying to tear you to shreds)

As good as the first time I read it five years ago. Even if you don't like scifi there's so much to Dune that you're bound to find something worth reading among its pages.

A disturbing read, but clever nonetheless. I was quite shocked/pleased with the many plot twists along the story, but overall I felt it was a bit too self-indulgent at times. Might be the geographical divide but I just couldn't get behind any of the "deep" reflections on class and money and goodness-evilness, felt a bit like the kind of things an upper middle class kid at college might point out as if he was discovering the moon for the first time.

Nice follow up novella for American Gods fans, another one of Gaiman's characters makes a cameo too. Overall it was good, but more like an extended universe fun adventure for a character that had his arc back in the American Gods original book.
