I’m going to need 1-3 business days to process this book…. I think I have a new contemporary romance novel

The only reason this isn’t a five star read is because they went from disliking each other to crying their eyes out over hypothetical situations in less than a week…?

This relationship might be the definition of going from zero to a hundred.

Otherwise a great book with faaaantaastic smut

3,5 ⭐️

Definitely better than November 9th and Ugly Love but it just felt a little eh. There were so many moments that made me cringe and dislike both main characters but their story in a whole is very nice and heartwarming.

Needed something brainless, this is definitely it.

I am so let down by this book! I expected great things and this book is just... meh.

Book one was alright, captivating, but nothing to scream over and then the second book absolutely rips you apart and does literally everything right. Then this book comes along and ruins everything.
Nothing happens until the last third of the book, as Katniss is always in the freaking hostpital or just a prop for the television so it just drags along for most of the book.

The charecters and especially the ones killed off bother me so freaking much
Spoiler like the fact that Finnick dies in the literal sewer was so pointless, and since he died with so many soliders from 13, we can't even mourn his death. He finally had his happy ending, marrying the love of his life and working alongside them to assassinate Snow. His death just screams copout and Collins trying to demestrate how gory the book is. Also, Prim's death was so freaking pointless, as we don't know anything about her, we don't spend any time with her and literally no one cares.

This book is actually making my blood boil a little bit. Katniss never had a choice regarding her romance. She was literally paired with Peeta in book 1, then she fooled around with Gale in book 2, but still had to fake her love for Peeta, AND she showcased real feelings for him as well. But, alas. She really had no choice in this ridiculous love trianlge where the boys loved her more than she loved them combined. She just got the one that stuck around.
Spoiler She also talks very clearly about never having children ever, and yet she has two of them in the end... Alright, sure the Hunger Games is over and their situations is better, but it bothers me that she was CLEAR about her intentions about not having children, and yet she had them.

This book has been on my shelves for over a year because I've been so scared to read it. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a book that everyone raves about. Everyone talked so highly about it, and I was deathly afraid I wouldn't like it.

However, this book deserves all the hype it has and more. It's fantastic and instantly shot up to my all-time top 5 reads. It's witty and fun, and the storytelling is done in such a charming way. We listened to Evelyn Hugo tell HER story, not someone talking about her, which I loved.

Although the story revolves around fame, glamour, and fun, the ever-pressing undertone of the book is sadness, and we watch as Evelyn loses so much within one lifetime. Evelyn shows the readers that while you can have money, fame, and quite literally every possession you could ever want, it doesn't make you happy. It doesn't promise you happiness or love.

Evelyn Hugo made mistakes. She was not a perfect person. Nevertheless, she did what she had to and would certainly do it all over again for the same people. But the thing is, Evelyn did everything for love. Love for her friends, family, and the love of her life.

This book was absolutely 30/5 read and was impossible to put down.
