The first 75% is reallllyyyyyy slow and the remaining 25% is super fast and skips over so many things but I liked the rivals-lovers aspect, the tension etc

They literally spend half of the book talking. This whole series could’ve been action packed duology 

I really disliked the whole “pulling her pigtails because he likes her so much” plotline because adult people should know how to act like adults and not kindergarteners. Also she has a doctorate but still thinks he hates her with absolutely zero (new) evidence of it but otherwise it was very fun read. 

Absolutely loved this book! The ending was a little rushed and the last chapter was a bit unnecessary in my opinion. Yes it wrapped some things up neatly in a pretty bow but also opened up some pretty big questions. 

I had no idea this was written by the same author as Kiss of Deception until the characters showed up at the end but now I really want to reread that series as well.

A bit too much insta love for me but good overall

I really disliked the whole supernatural aspect of this book. Stephen King has already done so many fantastic horror books that revolve around “normal” things, like cujo, Dolores Clairborn etc. The horror aspect of your abusive husband looking for you is already plenty so I didn’t like the supernatural aspect and I really disliked the whole epilogue. Still 4 stars but had the potential to be 5 stars for sure.
