Found family gets me every time, especially when you have some lonely elderly characters

Not me crying on the walk to work listening to the last few minutes of this

Maybe my reading comprehension skills need some improvement but I have literally no idea what I just read. Stunning art though!

This was a fun read for Halloween, I really enjoyed it! I did find it ended way too abruptly, I was completely shocked to see only a few minutes left in the audiobook when we were right in the middle of the climax and that definitely threw me for a loop. But I really liked the characters and the relationships that formed, especially between the main character and the love interests daughter. I found the romance to be a little awkward at times but did still like the romance!

The whole book was amazing, but that 15% had me SHOOK. It’s super rare for me to like book 2 more than book 1, but this was did it!

Second read: 2023
This was in my top 10 favourite books I read in 2021, and it was even better the second time around! Incredibly beautiful writing, story, characters, everything. This is one I can see myself rereading again and again
Third read: 2024 still just as good as the first (and second) time. Ugh I love this book so much, it’s gorgeous
