Ah yes, my least favourite trope of “literally every problem could be solved very quickly if a handful of people would have a 5 minute conversation.” But then I guess we wouldn’t have a book would we?

This was really good! The magic system and sentient magical forest was right up my alley, and the romance had me swooning just a little bit. I don’t think it’s one that I’ll think about for a long time, but I enjoyed the experience of reading it. Right now I have no plans to read the sequel though, I liked how this book ended and don’t feel like I need more of it
