Oof this was such a perfect romance for me! Hit every beat, gave me all the feels, can’t wait to read the rest of the series
This was fun and enjoyable, but didn’t feel unique to me. I liked it enough to want to continue the series at least!
I loved the characters and setting as much as the other two books, but I wasn’t able to get immersed in the plot. Each time the characters went off to do the next thing, I could easily picture the author sitting down and mapping out the story. It sounds silly to say that it felt like I was reading a book because that is exactly what I was doing, but it is what it is lol. I just didn’t feel connected to the story, they felt like words on a page rather than an experience
The noise that unleashed from me at the end was inhuman
How did a book where I know the general outcome still manage to surprise me?? It allowed me to have just a little bit of hope for the briefest of moments before laughing my face

I think if you’re a fan of Wayward Children, The Up & Under, or Harry Potter (minus the raging transphobia and host of other problematic nonsense) then you’ll love this!
This was light and fun, with delightful characters and interesting worlds. It was a little bit too simple, I would have liked to dive in a little deeper to the magic and the different worlds. But it was a great start to what is sure to be an excellent series!
