Ok, so I started out not really wanting to read this book due to Chaol, but I knew that I needed to to read Kingdom of Ash. And so I did. Even though it started quite slowly and the plot twists weren’t that mind blowing , I must say that I really loved the world of the south continent and especially Nesryn and Sartaq. Chaol definitely got healed in this book but I couldn’t really focus on that part of the plot since I didn’t really like his character arc throughout the previous books. Yrene though has definitely become one of my favourite characters in this book series. But her plot in this book was quite expected. It wasn’t my favourite book in this series but it definitely wasn’t the worst, it has surely set the scene for Kingdom of ash to shine and I have to say I’m very excited and nervous to see what will come next for these characters.

This book is probably one of the few murder mystery books I’ve ever read (not the biggest fan ) and I cannot describe how fun it was reading it. Every single chapter had on your feet , there where literally no breaks narrative wise. It was fast paced, action filled but still maintained the feeling that a teen girl was solving an “unsolved” case. Pip was a really interesting character filled with great morals (that I hope we all have) and an amazing work ethic . Though the ending was near perfect I’m still sad about Barney, that kinda killed me inside

I just finished sobbing with this absolutely heartwarming and beautiful love story. The first time I heard about this book was after watching the movie a couple years ago. It had become my all time favorite romance movie. And I just knew the book would be worlds above it and it certainly did. The dynamic between Lou and Will was incredible, it always made me giddy when the were talking with each other, they were witty fun and also a bit heartbreaking. I'm not sure if in going to read the next book in the series as ***spoiler*****



Will won't be involved but I am curious as to see how Lou's life will be after Will's involvement.

A really quick paced book for the laid back reader. It was enjoyable but it didn’t have the wow factor for me. The plot was interesting but it could have been executed a bit better in my opinion. Especially the ending was a bit lack lustre. I will be reading the sequel because the ending was nowhere near what the ending should have been like . I’m thinking maybe the two books of this series may have been better off being a standalone rather than two short books in a series.
