My first one star of the year. And I must say, one of the most pointless, annoying, frustrating books I think I’ve ever read. Lee really, really was testing my patience. She’s an absolute doormat, and the whole begging for scraps of attention from Kyle really angered me. For someone supposedly smart, the only way I’d describe her is dumb. After a point I just couldn’t even feel bad for her, she put herself in most of the situations that happened in the book. There was just no angst, no yearning, no actual romance, just two people that really want to bone each other with a little sprinkle of trauma in both of their pasts to disguise as plot. Honestly there was no plot, and zero development from the characters. The only two people I liked were Cam and Derek, and even then just barely. Definitely don’t recommend and for people wanting to read more Chloe Walsh after boys of tommen, you will most likely be disappointed with this one.

I think personally I prefer this book to the previous one in the series. At least I could fathom why they ended up together by the end of it. Though it didn’t feel all that impactful or really was able to convey the emotional moments to the reader effectively. Overall I could say that this book had potential but for me it didn’t really reach it.

This one was definitely one of the chiller books in the series so far, but still i enjoyed it. Even if at times the lack of communication was slightly annoying, it thankfully didn’t drag on for too long. Overall a cute little read.

Loved reading this and getting more insight on the other characters pov during such a big plot twist in the book series. Kinda made me miss reading from certain characters perspective though 🥹

This book series is my little guilty pleasure that I always end up returning to. What’s not to love, devoted lovable MMC and strong headed FMC, sign me in. I really loved ready from Maddie’s pov, she was fun and engaging. The plot twist though!! Didn’t expect that to happen but I guess I’ll have to see how they get themselves out of this little hole and how everything and everyone progresses.

This so far is my least favourite book I’ve read by Rina Kent. The storyline just didn’t seem believable to me at all, and the plot twists fell flat in my opinion. All in all I feel slightly disappointed considering I’ve been wanting to read about Kimberly and Xander since Deviant King and this didn’t hit nowhere close to where I wanted it to. 

Overall this felt like a decent and satisfactory conclusion to this trilogy. The plot was allowed to shined more in this book than the previous one, enabling the all the plot lines to be given a conclusion and you the reader all the information that you’ve been yearning for since the first book. And boy did the author make you work for that information, finally we get to find out about everything and all the empty voids in Elsa’s memory and connect all the dots. Overall a decent romance trilogy. I’ll continue on with the rest of the books, and I just hope they don’t follow a similar formula and stray a bit from the enemies to lover, and bully tropes. Though I doubt it.

Once again, a really enjoyable and entertaining book. Other than the fact that sometimes it felt repetitive and the pace slightly off at some points, it was a good continuation from the first book and I can’t wait to read what happens in the next book.

I really enjoyed reading this. It was so fun, and addictive I devoured it in one sitting. And after that ending, I’m obviously gonna devour the next one. This book was so much better and more entertaining that Cruel King, all my negative comments about it ,were thankfully not see in the Deviant King, and I’m so glad for it. The characters felt more real and interesting and complex, I not only cared about them ,but I was also curious and intrigued and wanted to learn more. This book manages to keep you on your toes but also giving you just enough information to to not make you stop wanting to flip the page. If you read the Cruel king first don’t let it dissuade you from picking the main series’s books cause I can promise this book definitely offered everything I could want from a romance book.

Wow did this book feel flat. I’m extremely disappointed, I hoped this book would delve into the emotions of dealing with what each of them had done and reconciling with it and moving on but it just didn’t do a good job of that. Surprisingly in this book I didn’t care about either of the MCs, everything just felt linear and predictable and kinda boring. There was no emotional breakdown, no shouting, no actual hatred or deep rooted regret that I was expecting. No sub-plots, no side characters, there was actually almost nothing in this book to make you care enough for what was happening, it just didn’t feel realistic or plausible, it all just felt forced.
