absolutely beautifully illustrated, if you've see the cave painting of the bear (you know the one with the lovely line weight and depth) then you have an idea of the simplicity and weight that the imagery  of this book conveys.  That in addition to beautiful water colorful and continually compelling and  story driven use of color  brings this tragic tale to wonderful beautiful beautiful beautiful life
