I wanted so bad to like this book, there were some good bits but the overall pace is slow and for a book about such a theoretically interesting topic, most of the time feels trivial and boring

I love the first, like, 50% of this book. Then it just felt like it hit a wall and had to keep coming up for things for the main guy to do so that the flash backs could catch up with him. Enjoyable and fun to read, but unlike the Martian, probably not going to re-read this one
