detailed ending

I’ve waited for this book since the first one came out. The authors know how to write interesting characters that make you laugh out loud, and spicy scenes that make you wish to recreate. I will say that I felt the whole killing Shawn took way to long to happen for people who were supposed to be skilled in that type of thing. Also Papa Luther kinda went MIA suddenly which baffles me as I write this.

With these books, you get multiple POVs that honestly, I skipped sometimes because I couldn’t care less for, say, Shawn’s POV.

The only reason I rated low was because I read these books as they were published, while reading almost daily, I frequently lost track of what happened previously or wasn’t in the mood for mafia type genres. If I could read these all at once I would rate this higher and possibly an all time favorite.

95% spicy scenes

This is a short novella type book that honestly is mostly s*x and nonconsensual at that.
Slight spoliers ahead:
Our FMC, Karissa, is celebrating a friends birthday at a club where she is given a drug that seems to induce her change into an omega without her realizing. She stumbles out of club trying to get home when she is spotted by the pack and consequently is claimed by the pack of 7 men without her verbalizing consent. She wakes up and is again persuaded by alpha purrs and instinct to solidify the claim after verbalizing that this is not what she wants and would like to go home. But of course the alphas don’t listen and continue to tell her what she needs.

wonderful twist on gargoyles

You have Christine who is human and mated to Marius, Alexandre, and Erik who are the gargoyles. They have somehow been “cursed” and tethered to the theatre that Christine is working at. There’s insta love on both sides, though Christine does try to briefly deny it. This is a fast pace romance that still has a believable timeline and story plot.

I have seen a review comparing how she gives up everything for her men, but that’s not true at all, she mentions many times how she doesn’t enjoy the spotlight at all and has no issues leaving it behind.

I will say I think the use of knots are pointless when gargoyles are explained to be made not born and therefore can not get her pregnant, which is the point of knots. But that’s my only complaint.

This took me a few days to read after sitting in my library for over a month.
This story starts off with a story line of an online ghost hunter vlogger, who is staying to get a tv deal. That quickly changes to focusing solely on her relations with the monsters with a sparse return to the real world and her vlog that she completely looses interest in.

There are good descriptions and world building in this book, but the steamy scenes fall a bit flat to me.
Also I felt you get tons of cutesy scenes with one monster, while another seems there only to “prepare” her, and the last monster is occasionally thrown in there with no solid foundation.

This ends in a HEA with a very brief mention of pregnancy in the epilogue that is 5 years later, and not about Juno.

the banter

The banter and one liners were enough to keep me interested. Aspen and Dom both grow so much together this gives love a renewed hope.
