I listened to this on audible. And let’s start with the fact it took 8 hours on 1.2 speed to get the the drama climax and even then that was a bit lacking. This is a spontaneous Vegas wedding story which is fine if Ansel wasn’t so naive in his thinking that hiding things from the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is okay. Then he did the age old man thing of “I’ll meet up with them for lunch one last time.” Eye freaking roll. I lost sleep for this book and am disappointed.

I almost did not finish this book. It drags on for no lie, 49% the first half. After that things speed up and get spicy. There’s no big action scenes which I feel should have been a key element considering Aron is the god of battle. What made up for the lack of, everything essentially, was the relationship building Faith had with the other mortals; and the ending.
