This is a quick read that nicely rounds up loose stings and storylines. I like that Desmond and Georgia connected through a shared experience instead of them just coming together without a story line. The action of the fight was missing but with the  drakes abilities it doesn’t seem like a major plot hole.

Fennel is a complete a$$hole. He has no redeeming qualities yet seems to be the main love interest. The MC president shows up at the end of the book and essentially claims Candy for himself.

looking into the 13 book series, Candy doesn’t end up with either and the MC ends up with an antagonist of this book, and he ends up being a freaking idiot and going against his morals in this book.

Will not be continuing the series. I even permanently deleted the book from my library.

This is a prequel to an already short story. This story doesn’t give much information other than how the MMC ended up as the general. We get a blink of a glance into the FMC, but there’s still a gap of how she went from running away from home to

being rolled up in a carpet, sent to murder the general.
