To clarify: 4 1/2 stars.

This was an incredibly-engaging start to the series. I look forward to reading more! Our protagonist is engaging, quick-witted and quite intelligent. The setting sets the perfect stage, and our love interest? To quote Miss Daisy Dalrymple, "Scrumptious!" I really appreciate that the romance did not get in the way of the story at all, as that is the downfall of a good deal of cozy mysteries. I can't wait to start on the next.

I found the second in the series to be even more engaging than the first. I really appreciate Dunn's writing -- she's a mite more liberal than I'd originally thought, and I am all about it. On to the next, I say!
