the only woodwind in this story being a flute who turns out to be evil...justice for the woodwinds!! where's my clarinet representation???

alex please pick me up on friday i am free

i enjoyed this novel! i like dual-pov novels because you can see both of their perspectives and feelings, and this didn't disappoint. also liked that it was set in college because YA books with a college setting are rare.

probably the first horror book i've ever read! it was good so that's nice

evelyn stronger than me because if the love of my life breaks up with me i'm passing out, screaming, shaking, crying. you'd have to drag my body back in because i'd be on the floor.

a good romcom that's not "great" as i would say. alex and henry are a convincing couple, and the cast of characters is fun and vibrant, but it's not my favorite of mcquiston's works, and not a work i would return to

A Memory Called Empire

Arkady Martine

DID NOT FINISH

see it was excellent but i just ran out of steam. definitely will try and pick it back up soon!

some of the writing choices should not have been made(yas kween...it pained me to type that out) but this was a really interesting and diverse group of women and i really liked reading about them

i don't think the romance was necessary and i didn't really see kaivan and hunter having chemistry. i also wish that the side characters(ex. ethan, owen, ian) were more expanded on. i feel like if the author cut the romance and just focused on hunter i may have liked it more. however, hunter is a really interesting protagonist and was well-written. i read this really quick and enjoyed it

trish and camila!!! queens!! i liked this book and i liked the cast of characters. it was a quick, easy, light read that i enjoyed.

very good anthology like i liked the majority of the stories in here.

i think the worm story was my favorite. i forgot the guy's name but he wanted to be a villain just so a hero could emerge and love him...yeah that's some excellent writing there.
