basically...DEPRESSING!

I just finished reading this book for school and think it is a great novel for high school English classes. I think this book is perfect for analysis, but if the reader is unwilling to delve deeper into the "juicy" themes of this book, it will most likely be very boring.

Honestly, this book scared me to death. Savagery and irreversible consequences for societal instability are right up there with human mutation in the fright factor for me. This book is a perfect example of the capacity all humans have for evil and how people will take advantage of power when it hasn't been earned. Overall, I strongly suggest this book to people of high school age and older, because its thematic content is very original and its topics are frightening enough to most likely keep the reader interested.

Just don't watch the PG version movie. It's awful.
