Loved this so much. If you want the vibes of Babel with the indigenous & scientific wisdom of Braiding Sweetgrass — plus dragons — I recommend picking this up. There’s also queer/poly and disability rep in this book. Can’t wait for the sequel!

This is a 4/4.5-star read that I’m bumping up to 5 stars because I can tell I’ll be thinking about this bizarre, sad, horrifying, heartwarming book for a long time.

This is a beautiful story, and I especially loved the chapters written in Misbah’s POV. I do wish I would’ve read the print version instead of the audio, because one of the three audiobook narrations was a bit dramatic for my taste.
