An INCREDIBLE book, VERY dense with information. I had to read literally every word on every page and actually let it sit to process it. But seriously inspiring and seriously amazing.

It sort of plodded along initially - it moved with enough speed and intrigue to keep me interested, but was a little slower than my normal interests. The characters were AMAZING though, making it well worth it. The plot speeds up DRAMATICALLY in the last quarter, and it’s A LOT of bombs dropped all at once. Overall, very enjoyable!! 

Not my favorite SJM book, but also not my least favorite.

I’m not super happy that the “female mc gives up her crazy powers to be happy” trope was used yet again in one of her books, so that was a HUGE downside for me.

Very slow to build - almost unbearable, took me about 550 pages and the encouragement of my friends that this book does, in fact, get better, for me to read it. Overall, worth the read - definitely alludes to what seems to be important information for later - but it was easily my least favorite ACOTAR book and probably only second to Tower of Dawn in terms of SJM books I like the least. 

This is one of the best books that I’ve read in a while - I didn’t necessarily believe people when they told me it was good, but the last 3 pages? Incredible. This was a great book. 

Just didn’t enjoy the writing style right off the bat. Wasn’t interesting.
