A beautiful final novel by a fascinating artist.

Kind of a basic fairytale retelling, but with good narrative thrust and some clever moments. Well-written and a fun read.

Absolutely incredible. If you have not started this series yet, do it now so that you can bask in the wonder of this third novel of a four-part series. I eagerly await the fourth and final installment of this stunning story.

Beyond a Darkened Shore

DID NOT FINISH

DNF. Unfortunately, this book fell apart for me near the 50% mark. What interested me most about the story at the beginning was the setting of Ancient Ireland and the characters of a Celtic Princess vs. a Viking Warrior. However, halfway into the book it didn’t really matter who they were or where they were anymore and this could have been any half baked fantasy story. I am very disappointed that my original excitement over the story was not satisfied by the multiple twists in the main character’s goals, circumstances, and even identity. There were so many changes to the initial set up that I felt like I was reading a completely different book and I’m not interested in reading whatever the second half is. I think this would have been an excellent short story, but it does not have the skill or stamina to make it through a novel. :’(
