The Viscount Who Loved Me

Julia Quinn

DID NOT FINISH

This book does not deserve to have a cover with the TV show characters on it. TV-Antony is annoying enough, but book-Antony is a literal predator. I stopped reading after the first "meet cute" where he corners Kate in a room alone. In the time period of the book's setting, this would have been tantamount to rape. Perhaps the author is asking the reader to view the characters through a modern lens, but if that is the case, then book-Antony's perspective is of a literal sociopath.

I will not be finishing this book nor reading any of the others in the series. So glad they made the TV show so much better than this.

I loved this book! Very, very fun read.

Cozy fantasies are not for me. I didn’t like the main character, and I didn’t find the romance very believable. The secondary characters were WAY more interesting than the main ones. Would give 2 stars, but added an extra star for Mei, Nelson, and Apollo.
