I loved the illustrations and the story. Crumbs is a story about discovering who you are with a dash of romance thrown in. The story follows Ray a witch with the power of prediction who wants to be on the council and Laurie a struggling musician who works at his aunts bakery. 

I went into The Dark King not knowing anything about the story. I found the story enjoyable except all the BDSM. Caiden and Bryn were strong characters but towards the middle during a particular part I was so over the characters. After that part it took me a while to warm back up to the couple but with that ending I'm glad that I continued the story.

Rough was a very repetitive story. It's very insta love which I'm starting to realize I'm no longer into. Rough just wasn't for me but for people who like insta love and can get lover the repetitive of it the story would make a decent shifter romance.

I really wanted to like this story but unfortunately it was meh. I didn't like the characters. It wasn't a true enemies to lovers the enemy was one sided. The fmc actually was actually mad because the mmc saved her life several times but she decided to work with the vampire who killed her uncle right in front of her to kill the vampire who saved her.

Thornhedge is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty from the fairy godmother's pov. The story is told from Toadling's pov. Toadling was taken from her family when she was born and raised in fairy. When she became an adult she is sent back to the human world to gift a newborn princess a gift. Centuries later a gentle knight appears and befriends Toadling. 

I liked the concept of Ledge but I didn't care for the execution of the story. Ledge started out good but as the story progressed it became meh. I didn't care for the characters at all which is probably why I didn't enjoy the story as much as I possibly could have.

I really wanted to love this book but unfortunately it was just meh until the end. It had many things that I love to read such as a love triangle, mountain climbing, adventure, magic, and so on. I was thinking of marking it as a dnf but I'm glad I didn't because that plot twist at the end is the reason Even the Darkest Stars got a three stars from me.
