Crown of Coral and Pearl follows twin sisters Nor and Zadie who live in an ocean village. Every generation a girl from Varenia is chosen to marry a prince from the main land. Zadie is chosen but something happens to her so Nor pretends to be her sister and takes her place as the chosen. The story has sisterly love, friendship, a handsome prince, and mystery.

I loved The Demon King even more the second time I've read it. I was a bit worried I wouldn't love it as much now since I'm older. Cinda Williams Chima storytelling gets to ne every time and pulls me right into the story. I just absolutely love the friendship between Han and Fire Dancer.

While I enjoyed The Dragon's Promise I liked Six Crimson Cranes better. I wanted more with Seryu's character and more of the dragon's. I was happy to get more of Shiori's stepmothers story. Overall I was happy with the way the dueology ended.

Bride was the first book of Ali Hazelwood's that I'd read. I throughly enjoyed Bride. I don't think that I've laughed so hard while I've read for a while. I look forward to reading more from Ali Hazelwood.

Dark King was a somewhat decent read. I just couldn't get into the story. The characters were un relatable but that could be do to one thing happening right after another and the characters not having enough time to develop more.

I was excited yo read Of Shadow and Moonlight after hearing the author talk about it. It seemed like it would be right up my allie. Unfortunately I didn't love but I didn't hate it either. I'm hoping I just wasn't in the mood for it and when/if I eventually do a reread I may change my mind one way or the other.

With Prince Tenyou's reforms underway a threat of war looms over the nation. This volume is probably my favorite since the original plot line wrapped up. I love the continuing romance between Prince Tenyou and Rangetsu and I was happy to see more of Sogetsu. I'm interested to see where the story goes with the new people introduced at the beginning of this volume.
