I like fae fantasy and I found the story intriguing, but I was also vaguely confused. I'd like to see the story expanded on and explained more. As it stands, I would be interested in reading more of the tales in the series.

It Comes Back is a fast-paced novella that centers around guilt. I found it to be well-written and a very interesting concept. I loved the action-packed ending and I'm looking forward to reading more from the author.

I adore the Pagham-On-Sea stories, and these small bits of folklore are no exception. I love this world, and this was the perfect way to scratch my Pagham-On-Sea itch while I eagerly await the next volume in the series.

This book has a LOT going on. Just when I thought I had a handle on things, the author would switch it up and leave me wondering again. I absolutely loved going on this ride with Mary, so much so that I was sad when it ended. I feel like I can't talk about it much without giving the surprises away, so I won't. I will say it should be on the TBR pile of anyway to likes well-written, genuinely suspenseful horror.

I'll be honest here. The poems are pretty good, very sing-songy rhyme scheme that reminds me of Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark. The real standout here is the art. The images in the book are just beautiful.

I basically devoured this book in two sittings. I made myself go to sleep before finishing it, then thought about it all the next day until I was able to pick it up again. I loved the vibes of this book - old school but modern day, with hints of Poltergeist, The Exorcist, and The Omen. Mike Duke really knocked it out of the park with this one.
Graphic: Child death
Moderate: Child abuse, Sexual assault

I burned myself out on zombie fiction awhile ago, indiscriminately devouring (haha) every bit of it I could find. These days, it takes quite a lot to get me to read one. Luckily, Chew has my perfect trifecta for zombies - an interesting premise, extremely well-written, and interesting, fleshed-out characters. I immediately bought Season 2 as soon as I finished.
Not for me. Didn't like the plot or writing

I do love a creature feature so, even though Breach wasn't for me, I decided to give Candace Nola another try. I'm glad I did. Bishop was a lot of fun. I didn't love the ending, but it's a well-told story with a lot of tense moments.
