Maybe I've been reading too many zombie books lately, but I wasn't overly impressed with this one. It was good for what it was, but it didn't add anything new or particularly interesting to the genre.

Definitely not my favorite Palahniuk.

Not particularly well-written, but the story was interesting. I might pick up the second one if I can find it for free.

Horribly written, mindless drivel. Could barely make it over 150 pages.

I read the second book at the urging of my boyfriend. I found this one much more enjoyable than the first, although still a little incest-y. I'm interested enough now to try to finish the series out.

I didn't enjoy Catching Fire nearly as much as the first book. It was kind of slow going until the Quarter Quell was announced, but it quickly picked up after that. I'm eager to read the third one, and now I can watch the movie.

My dad recommended this book. Going in, I didn't realize it was the seventh book in the series. I feel I may have enjoyed it more had I read them in order.

Out of 14 stories, I really only enjoyed two or three.
