I wanted to like this book way more than I actually did. I kept looking for the connection between stories, and finally decided to just read the different sections like they were short stories. The writing is excellent, I think I just failed to see what it is the author wanted me to.

Simply amazing. Horror wrapped in a faery tale, and told so, so beautifully.

The art is absolutely gorgeous. I love the small details in each panel.

Several of the stories were hit or miss, but overall a very nice collection!

Definitely not as good as The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, and a little bit predictable. But overall a very good, imaginative story. I'll most likely read the sequel.
