This book is just not well-written. The dialogue sounds so stilted. 

The constant time jumps made the narrative very hard to follow

This book is just not good. It's not written very well, the dialogue is stilted, and the characters are dumb. I didn't care about any of them, and I hope Mother eats all of them. 

It's just not very well-written and there's enough racism that it made me uncomfortable enough to DNF

A third of the way in and I was bored to tears

I hate all of these people and why is rape treated so casually in this book? Ugh

I did not vibe with this book at all. I struggled through 350 pages before throwing in the towel, after realizing I didn't really care what happened. I was confused easily and often by the large cast of characters, despite the listing in the front. So many of them didn't have distinct enough personalities that I was able to distinguish between them. 

The first story was excellent, but I didn't like any of the 3 I read after that

I didn't enjoy this book at all. I had high hopes after My Unbeating Heart, but this book doesn't do it for me.
