I found this to be a little too confusing. I think if the book plotline had been removed I would've been able to focus more on the main plot and less on trying to figure out how those two fit in.
informative inspiring medium-paced

Lovely art and a wonderful exploration of Asperger's.

This is great as a graphic novel since the art really does lend itself well to the explanation. Since this takes place in France (and I'm in the USA) it's interesting and informative to see the cultural differences (and similarities).

This is an interesting one to reflect on since a lot of Charise's "bad" behavior (excluding the big one) is fairly normal behavior amongst my sibling, and I would consider them to be normal siblings. I guess what made if bad is the malice she remembers being behind it? I wish I had a 13 year-old who hated their younger sibling on hand to see what their opinions are.

A quick and easy read. Nothing particularly objectionable but nothing stellar either.

One thing I found mind boggling was how Hana doesn't expect to get hate and death threats when it gets out that she's dating Brian. She spends a lot of time on the internet, she has classmates who are kpop idols, and she knows the reputation kpop stans have.

The art is great. I love the idea of two  artists switching off chapters, and it is nice that their styles aren’t vastly different which keeps the switching from being a distraction.

The plot was the meh part. I found it hard to believe that Tony and Eli would get together, especially given a thing that Eli does which I find very hard to forgive.

Super interesting concept. The climax fell a little short for me and the end feels rushed. If the last two chapters were twice as long, the climax would’ve probably sat better with me. There is one  specific character that infuriated me, but you can’t except to like everyone, I guess.

I have long anticipated this book because the summary intrigued me. While I wasn’t disappointed, I also wasn’t wowed.

There are too many side characters. Characters would appear and I wouldn’t remember who they were or what they were supposed to know (and thus I didn’t know what they were in danger of finding out).

The index of the book used to be the prologue and I wish it were there to explain the magic system even though I know full well that I would have glossed over it. A prologue people might skip but will at least know it’s there, an index will be ignored by a majority of people. Also the published prologue is extremely meh.

Part way through the book, the focus shifts from AB to Matthew and it feels like the book is saying okay AB is fixed even though that is not the case at all.

On the plus side: I loved both of the main characters, they were fleshed out and I felt for both of their struggles. Also I loved the illustrations.
