This novella has a couple of challenges. The first is that the summary spoils the plot twist so the whole time the reader knows the "secret" that the main character is always on the fringes of. The main character, Yeva has a difficult personality. Just because I understand that she's been habituated to obey doesn't mean I like how she immediately folds.
