This was a lot of fun -- I figured I was going to enjoy this when it gave me a good laugh within the first few pages, when a particular species of vampire notable for their sparkly appearance were given the classification "sanguinarum meyerii". I wouldn't mind reading more of this series.

I stumbled across A Softer World near the end of its run, so many of the strips collected here were brand new to me. It's a great collection of a wonderful webcomic, alternately (and sometimes simultaneously) funny, creepy, sweet, depressing, insightful, disturbing, heartwarming, and sad.

An unusually interesting novelization, this incorporates a lot more backstory and internal motivations for many of the characters, but also loses much of the humor that's part of the final film, ending up quite a bit more serious and darker than the film. The same basic events, just without the winking charm. Enjoyable, but unusual.
