My only criticism of this book is that it’s marketed as middle grade and the main character is newly 13 but she’s written more like 15/16 years old and the book absolutely feels more young adult. 

It’s absolutely excellent but I think giving this to a 4th or 5th grade kid as “middle grade” would imply would be doing the book a disservice.

I’ve never been so bored in my life.

I am not sure what I thought this was before I started it but it wasn't what I got. In any event I had a good time and am glad I picked it up.
