2.75? 3?

Dude is awfully mean spirited toward the other hikers he meets…

First 3rd was great. The rest? Not awesome.

Little bit scattered but to be expected. Very nostalgic and also made me sad to think of how things were portrayed/what people thought in the late 90s/early 00s.

The book itself is 4 star.

The audiobook? It’s amazingly well done. Brings me back to World War Z with the interview format and the multiple narrators. Well worth a listen vs the book format IMO.

This was just an excellent middle grade book. The right amount of mystery/history/spooky for spooky season. High recommend.

This was...not it. The first literal quarter of the book is...nothing. Driving around town to find some snacks. That's just about it.

From there it features a bunch of theatre folks that seem like they are written by someone that doesn't know theatre folks. And it's just....it felt like a complete departure from what Hill House is meant to be.

Meh.
