A nice intro to the main characters in TFA. Nothing compelling or inspiring here, though.
Marvel meets The Matrix in this not to be missed arc. If you’re looking for some WandaVision insight, this could be it.
The stakes in this are relatively low and I struggled to maintain my attention.
Not sure how to rate this one. I loved Gravity and have conflicting feelings about this. A lot going on - anxiety, toxic friendship, homophobia & a public outing, an eating disorder, problematic/abusive relationship, and religion...all in a span of a few weeks. Primarily character driven. Maybe just not for me?
It’s official - I’ve finished the previous SW run. The closing to this arc was short followed by some one-shots. Enjoyed the Dameron + Aphra shorts the best, naturally.
Overall I enjoyed this but it was far too long and got lost along the way.
Shaun has done it ONCE AGAIN. Characters you can’t help but love (and want to scream at). A fascinating world that isn’t all it seems. Sci-fi meets contemporary but never in the way it seems. Keep them coming!!
Set in a world that is Wall-E meets 2020 (yikes, where are authors getting these crystal balls?), A Song for a New Day is the story of how art and the shared connection created will save humanity.
Star Wars: Darth Vader, Vol. 1: Vader
Kaare Kyle Andrews, Juan Giménez, Adi Granov, Kieron Gillen, Leinil Francis Yu, Salvador Larroca
I loved all of the pieces - Aphra. Vader balancing who he is and who he was. Learning about Luke. Can’t wait to dive into this series!!
