I'm really loving the exploration of mental health and the darker themes. Amy is so soft-hearted, but she's managing her best with her present circumstances. The police cover-up story is also interesting to watch. They've made a mistake underestimating Cassie.

A slow-paced, cozy read. I liked the friendship between Leelo and her prickly cousin Sage, but I found all of the characters dull except maybe Ketty. There was definitely tension, but it didn't feel like it. Beautiful cover tho.
The ending wrapped up nicely. I like that even though Leelo and Jaren decided to love each other that they didn't rush straight into marriage. they're enjoying the dating process, and Leelo gets to expand her worldview.
The ending wrapped up nicely.

Very technical. But the references are great, and the author explains where folds accumulate in the body and how fat hangs. I feel like this book went more in-depth than the generic anatomy book.

“… It’s like … I became an adult without actually growing up.”
Yotasuke is still so aggy, socially stunted, but emotionally vulnerable. But I get him in a way. Art isn’t the only thing to him, and it’s annoying for him when people think that he does or wants to talk about. In this volume, we see another side of him, and he *GASP* makes a friend.
Because this manga loves to be so deep it can’t sleep, Yatora (read: we ask) asks do you have to love art to do it? If you just have a natural talent for art, is that enough? If you love art, should it be your career? All probing questions most artists have asked themselves.
Still, enjoying this series! This volume was very emotional. The majority of the art professors still make me want to fight them. They come off as so rude and pretentious all the time. But Yatora be eating it up, so who I am to stand in the way?

I'm really enjoying this series so far. The Ocean kingdom arc has been action-packed and fun. I can't wait to see Stud travel to the next kingdom.

Strong on the art but the story didn't add much. The characters were flat, but this is more plot-driven so it's to be expected.

This was seriously cute and wholesome. Great nostalgia for video game fans or anyone who appreciates the sacrifices of a single mom. c:

While I can see this getting old quickly for myself, there’s some charm here. The found family vibes are heavy; Sakamoto collects dangerous hitmen like candies. He’s fighting to protect his relatively mundane life and each character who adds to it is wholesome. The action scenes are relatively good. You can always understand what’s happening.
I'll read volume two.

I didn’t enjoy the first book, but I thought the sequel would be more interesting because hello, an underwater kingdom with a dragon prince??? Sign me up! But the matter-of-fact, telling instead of showing writing style didn’t change. Shiori just feels like a blank slate or a generic character to me. Seryu and her don’t act like friends to me either.
The covers for this series are startingly beautiful, but I wished I could’ve enjoyed the series more.
