I always enjoy when the series explores morals & ethics. Dinosarus is fun. SN: Can I say that I find Eve dull?
Listen, this rating has no merit on the story, but I just got no enjoyment from this volume whatsoever. Here, Rex becomes Dinosaurus 2.0 (which should be fun and interesting, but I’m over it), there’s a lengthy rape scene as a plot device that hasn't been addressed yet (this needs to be out rightly stated!), and a pregnant lady gets brutally mangled. I’m trying to hold on to finish this series out, but, man, this is bringing my mood down. Too much gore and stress recently. I ain’t got to be stressed, y’all. I read for fun!
A little slapstick at times, but, at least, they are treating the MC being raped seriously. Loved seeing grown-up Oliver!
This volume had parental fear all over it. I can’t imagine how dangerous it is for heroes to have kids when villains always come looking for a fight. I’m tired of this story. It’s got me stressed and grossed out. I think there’s only two volume left, thankfully.
also, I don’t want Anissa redemption. She raped someone. There’s no coming back from that.

I loved seeing the Viltrumite families on Earth. This final battle is pretty good, waiting to see what happens next.

There are definitely some ignorant parts here (think: Breakfast Club/Cthagod vibes), but, for the most part, I enjoyed the story though it is stressful high school drama. Things get rather messy too!
Olivia's all in her head about her feelings, sex, and 3 potential love interests. Is this an otome game/love sim? I thought her different dynamics with the guys were cute, and I liked her relationship with her cousin. Her narrative is relatable with Olivia constantly overthinking things and trying to apologize. I was thoroughly annoyed with Eli. No one needs to baby him!He can feel frustrated that Liv never knew his feelings and slept with Dre, but this all ultimately hangs on him. He needs to beat himself up about being too afraid to tell her. Everyone can't pick up on hints. Yes, Liv could have told him her feelings, but that doesn’t erase him acting a total fool in public. This really felt like a shoujo where the male love interest is already rigged. I thought she was going to stay with Dre. Eventually, everything boils down to self-love which is nice.

I dig the watercolor art style and all the behind the scenes tidbits at the end (Kara has some of the cutest, comfiest outfits), but the story feels rather thin at this point. Not much of anything happens, and I wonder if it’s better for readers to just start at volume 2. Our main character Kara is inquisitive and surprised after the fact humans aren’t fairytales is revealed to her. Kara meets an actual human in this volume, and that’s where it basically ends.
