Again, this series was on display at the library, so I decided to read it.

Aww, this volume had a lot more heart and funny scenes. Of course, the obligatory sexual harassment scene that most shoujo absolutely demands had to be in it. *sigh* Hibiki needed the fire slapped out of him.

Still, I enjoyed Tokita's backstory, and it's great that Hibiki's trying his hardest to provide for all his brothers and sisters.

Again, this series was on display at the library, so I decided to read volumes 1 - 5.

Well, this volume was more entertaining, but the men/boys in this story are way too aggressive. I thought Haru was cool, but then he came with some foolishness. "Yeah, I lied about us having a friendly get together with another friend. I have you all alone in my apartment, so you can see me as a man/romantically." NO THANKS, HARU!
Also, we've have reached a point where a 31-year-old woman (who has taken a magical potion to become 15 years old again) is seriously dating another 15-year-old.

At some point, you have to say that's wrong. If not morally at least emotionally, you're playing with someone's heart and portraying yourself as someone else.

Good. They addressed the elephant in the room, and Chikage does the right thing (of course, in the most dramatic still squicky way).

Everything moved too quickly. I don't know enough about Candance, but she and the boys team up within pages. There's no apprehension on anyone's part. They just believe her. Also, I liked Ian's previous design better. The black hair and tanned skin just fit better to me.

Why doesn't Ian like to be called Damien? Where's his mom in this version? How come Jon and Ian haven't really interacted with each other before? Where's Alfred? Is Tilly just a friend or does Jon have feelings for her? Who is Candance? Is she an entirely new character, or is she meant to be a psychic kind of Wonder Woman?

Maybe these things will be answered in volume 2.

DNF, stopped at page 210

I feel like I'm forcing myself to finish this. The narrator is getting on my nerves with the way they keep talking in circles and going off on tangents about cheese and chocolate. Normally, I like the quirkiness of stories like this (I used to really love those Lemony Snicket/unusual narrator stories), but I don't have the patience for it right now.

I will return to finish this at a later date.
