Hmm... This book reminds me of Chex mix. You like the majority of the bag but the nasty crackers seem plentiful.

There are some really interesting parts, good bits of detail, and some nice plot-twists in the narrative but the second half of the story became confusing and dragged a bit.

I enjoyed Silas a lot *virtual thumbs-up* On the other hand, Errin was boring. I think she acts like the average human being would in her position, but she just didn't have any gripping/amazing moments.

[Now, I've haven't read the 1st book and have no desire to do so, but I'm interested in reading the third book though. With no previous knowledge, I was able to follow along in the story well.]

As always, the artwork is beautiful. But Adrian acts way too young to be a 12-year-old, and the women are always drawn with sensuality to the point that no matter how close, far away, or contrived there's a cleavage shot. There are some cocaine references, and a character is seen snorting it (only the top of the straw is shown; the substance is hidden).

On the plus side, the story continues to be interesting, looking at the seedy, underground world of a mixture of pro-wrestling and boxing.

I like it. The humor is very distinct, and the art is cute... But I thought Charlotte acted like a brat the entire time

Okay. This is mostly "slice-of-life" set in Compton. It gave me a real perspective on puberty for boys. Some of the "girls/women" talk was a little... idk. F**kboy-ish? But maybe that's what dudes really think.

Anyway, a pretty good read.

Interesting story! I enjoyed the characters a lot and would love to read another story including them. Crispy art!
