This was cute but not much else

Refreshing! Friendship drama that gets resolved quickly, teachers who actually care, and quirky humor every step of the way.

I’m loving the increased awareness of dyscalculia. A few years ago, I had never heard of it, but I’m glad some kid will feel seen with this.

 I really enjoyed the portrayal of a modern day Clark Kent. How his uprightness would definitely turn some people off. And how there's balance to overly mothering someone as opposed to being there for them.

The storyline tried to zero in on how some men are swayed into incel/manosphere/redpill "they're owed happiness" rhetoric. I find it difficult to extend sympathy to these types due to the harm caused, but this story takes a more understanding approach to this/them.

Ultimately, I like that Clark's superpowers played a background role. The power of community and doing the right thing.

The artwork in this book is super cute!

I think this book will really appeal to kids who struggle in any area of school, whether dyslexic or not. Sometimes, students have to learn in a different way, and that's okay. A different method doesn't make anyone dumb and shouldn't be a cause for shame.

But unfortunately, it felt more like a non-fiction, edutainment book than an actual story.
