I first read this book in the fourth grade and have loved it ever since. Since I could remember, I've been interested in the supernatural and things otherworldly. I was, and still am, addicted to horror. This book was just want I wanted in a scary story written for children. At an older age, I plan to read this book again in the near future.

I've always loved a good lunatic story especially when it involves nobility (you know because their "shit don't stink") and when they are actual events. I picked this very short hardcover book off of a Barnes & Noble clearance rack last night because it looked like a fun, short and sweet book to have. Short? It definitely was. Sweet? Not so much. When I think crazy I think of Norman Bates, Adolf Hitler, and "One Flies Over a Cukoo's Nest". Even though the book did contain one or two pages of Vlad the Impaler and Elizabeth Bathory, I do solely believe that Alison Rattle's definition of "crazy" is much different than mine as these people of nobility's kind of "crazy" is not all that extreme and some are entirely understandable. Reading others' reviews on this book was the last smack on the nail with this literary hammer when I read complaints of how historically INACCURATE and grammatically INCORRECT the writing actually was. I wasn't paying to much to grammar to notice and don't have enough knowledge on these people to have much say and leave that for the reader to decide. However, I do not feel my time was terribly wasted. In the future, if I ever need a quick reference to a noble person's actions or their time and place of existence, I have a somewhat more reliable source than Wikipedia and it looks great on my shelf and for that I award two stars because it was "Okay".

If my other reviews haven't convinced you that I'm a supernatural freak of nature that's in love with love, I'd just like to say for the hundreth time that Hush, Hush has lived up to its reputation. I love this book because its shrouded in supernatural mystery and romance. The characters are so well rounded and easy to fall in love with. I've read this book more than once and hope that Becca Fitzpatrick keeps it comin'.
