As wonderful as the novel in verse version. Superb!

I love these girls! I wish I had a book like this to read when I was in middle school. I was 12 when my family moved from the Bronx to Rockland County. In my new public school, I was the only girl who was half Puerto Rican. There were very, very, very few students and families of color in my school & none in my neighborhood.

Each story is a favorite!
I need a broom dog for my classroom.
