As a long time fan and a tremendous reader, I was looking forward to this book. I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. The book is mostly a transcript of interviews I already heard. Yes, there's commentary that prefaces each interview from Stern but nothing thought-provoking in my opinion.

Fantastic the 2nd time around!

Do you want to be more pleasant to be around, a better human being? Read and practice What the Buddha Taught.

If I could give this book more stars I would. It was funny, heartfelt, and informative. Without a doubt one of the smartest books I've read this year. A reminder that we are all human with a huge capacity to feel.

Through the voice of her father, Eve Ensler does a stellar job apologizing for the unspeakable abuse he perpetrated on her. This may be the Apology that so many of us have been waiting to hear. Please read with caution, as this important body of work may be triggering.

so interesting and fun! Loved the brain research stuff!

Having enjoyed her 1st novel tremendously, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this one.
