Not necessarily Murakami's best writing, mostly because the majority of it isn't his words but the peoples' he was interviewing. Still a fascinating look into a cult and the ramifications...being religious I guess. Another lesson to "cleave to no faith when faith brings blood."

This is required reading for anyone living in a small town or who has ever dealt with meth in any way.

I enjoyed reading this collection, particularly the last two stories, but I feel like I'm not grasping something vital to reading Carver's work. That said, I'll probably read more of it in an effort to catch that illusive something.
