This book kept me interested but it just wasn’t great. It’s an interesting storyline but it’s not something I’ll be raving about.

I knew there was a reason I waited so long to read this book! I was right, having only the some of the series is not going to work for me!

I really enjoyed these novellas and I’m curious about the way they will lead me in to the Throne of Glass series!

Considering the age of this book I am impressed with how much I enjoyed it! This was not my favorite mystery, but as a classic it was really interesting! I chose this one based on a prompt from the 52 reading challenge and I’m glad I did!

This wasn’t my favorite book. It wasn’t slow, but certainly wasn’t fast either. It also seemed to include a lot of unnecessary paragraphs which is a pet peeve of mine.

After the remains of Angela Wong are found 14 years after she disappeared without a trace, her best friend Gia knows her life is about to be turned upside down. She’s arrested for the murder of Angela and serves time in prison. A dual timeline lets us know what happened 14 years ago, as well as the strikingly familiar things that are happening now!

I wanted to love this book. I really did. The thing is, it’s slow. It should be fast paced but it just isn’t. There are so many extra words (pages really) that don’t add anything to story but do cause it to be slow. It wasn’t even a slow burn - just SLOW. The storyline was good and creative but the execution just wasn’t there for me.

I love this reimagining of Wonderland! I am lifetime lover of all thing Alice in Wonderland and this is was a great version. It’s one of those stories that makes you think about the other versions that are out there and make comparisons, but not in a negative way (like book vs movie tends to be), rather in a way that expands the story and gets you thinking!

I would absolutely recommend this to lovers of Wonderland!

True crime is my jam! There are not many nonfiction categories that I actually enjoy - it’s generally book by book - but true crime gets me every time. The Manson Family Murders are something that interest me because it’s hard to imagine the headspace someone needs to be in to end up in a cult such as this. Humans are something else, stories like this prove that.

I enjoyed the telling of this story in this book. I already knew the story, but this was well put together and straight forward with the information.
