Wow, I’m not sure what it is about this book but I love it. The story is pretty typical but the way it unfolds is so interesting that I couldn’t stop.
I received an audiobook copy through NetGalley and the narration left me with no complaints. The narrators really brought the story to life and made it seem like we were in the story instead of just listening to it. I love that in an audio!
I really enjoyed the slow-ish build. It took awhile to get where it was going but the journey to get there was just as interesting as the story once we made it.
It was much more intense than I was expecting, but I actually really liked that about it. It kept time with the suspense and mystery.

Shoo was this a rollercoaster from start to finish!
If you’ve read the previous books, you know all about the fall and the birth of our FMC, Nevaeh. If you haven’t read those books go do it because the backstory is absolutely fantastic.
This book begins about 15ish years after the end of the previous one - with our girl Nev turning 18 and having her world ripped out from under her all at once. As she continues to go through life, she eventually finds her way back home and directly into a pool of lies. And she is MAD. BIG MAD. And she deserves to be. However, she doesn’t have time to stay mad because there are people out there that want to kill her and she needs the people she’s most mad at to help her stay safe - and learn to use everything at her disposal to protect herself.
And then it ends on a cliffhanger because OF COURSE IT DOES and now I have to wait for the rest of the story. Ugh.
It’s a damn good story though. I love it.
fast-paced
This just wasn’t for me. It felt overly familiar and not in a good way - more like a I’m sure I’ve read this book before but I haven’t because I have early copy. Once the ending rolled around I realized it’s so familiar because it’s a very typical thriller novel.
I didn’t particularly care for the “layout” I guess of this one - we have multiple timelines and POVs and they didn’t mesh for me.
I received an advanced copy through NetGalley and I want to thank them for it!
The trip back to this world was great. Some of these stories I absolutely adore while others were just meh for me.

The final installment in this “Choose Your Own Romance” series is here and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We have all the usual characters included, including ones we’ve met in previous books.
This book has a mountain of content warnings and I want to advise you to check those before reading it. Honestly, it’s the heaviest of the series and it’s clear the author poured her actual soul into it. You can just feel it.
We spend a lot of time in Mariah’s head. We get that look into the thought processes of someone with depression, anxiety and PTSD and as someone with 2/3 I gotta say I felt seen. Was it hard to read? Absolutely. Was it great? Sure was - in an awful way. I don’t want others to feel the way I feel or to understand it on that level - but I definitely feel seen and it’s refreshing.
This really was a perfect ending to this series.

As predicted, this was a cute cozy murder mystery! We follow our main character as she considers opening a bakery that adds cannabis to their items. She’s looking into the logistics of such a business when a man who had accosted her recently is found murdered…but she isn’t the suspect, it’s her aunt. Chloe, our main character, is determined to get to the bottom of it and get Aunt Dawn out of the trouble she’s found herself in.
I received the audiobook through NetGalley and I loved it. It was fast paced and hilarious and I can’t say that there was a dull moment! The narrator was perfect for a cozy mystery and the vibes were on point.
The book ends with recipes which honestly just had me rolling with laughter. It’s amazing, check it out!
