I love love LOVED this book! What an epic. The characters feel so real and the plot continued to leave me wanting more.

The writing is so beautiful and word choice always feels intentional. The story is so beautifully constructed to build to a well worth finale.

Couldn’t help myself and got the sequel immediately. Cant wait to dive into it (BUDDY READ!!)

Wow!!

Such an interesting and creative book. This book is told through the perspective of a gecko living in a man’s house who creates pasts for clients. I enjoyed the characters and finding out more and more about the narrator! The prose was refreshing after the simplicity of Dante & Aristotle sequel.

A good sequel to a book I fondly remember. Though, I realized I had remembered NONE of the first when I started this sequel. I reviewed the plot and was able to jump in where this one picked up.

It’s definitely a YA novel. The narrator’s voice is very strong but this comes at a detriment to the writing and storytelling a bit. There’s much more tell than show. Characters all seem to be ready to go into inspirational monologues at the drop of a hat which got a bit preachy at points. Overall, a solid casual read but I was hopeful for more. Maybe my memories of the first one are sugarcoated by nostalgia.

A collection of stories that are vivid and often heart wrenching. The author’s prose and characterization is beautiful and moving. Her characters feel alive and three dimensional. Overall a fantastic read!

What a fun read!! The characters feel alive and I find the AI elements intriguing. The way everyone is connected to their Internet system at all times, the AI/human fusion, loved those elements. The story kept me captivated throughout even if the writing style took some getting used to. A big more matter of fact than I’m used to, but I eventually became accustomed.

Shame that I felt the ending was really rushed and anticlimactic. Maybe they’re setting up for a sequel but at the expense of a satisfying conclusion
