this was cute. BUT, the animal/food disconnect killed me. How are you going to rescue farmed animals and then still eat meat?! quit that shit, right now. 

Unfortunately this wasn’t for me. Mark came across kind of patronizing and I learned there were graphic descriptions of animal death/mutiliation. This vegan says no thank you.

Bummed because I love the concept of no tech, but I think he took it too far.

i may never recover. that was fucking horrifying. 

sadly, not invested at all. I loved Hallett's other books, so I'm bummed.
