 Deeply unsettling.  Super interesting. THAT ENDING!!

Also,  i'm 99.9% sure the "plot twist" is supposed to be figured out at the start of the book. That's part of the whole creepiness of the book. 

A killer nurse hiding out as a librarian. Weird shit happens. The inside of Jane/Margo’s mind was truly a terrifying place. She’s unhinged in a very bad way. I loved it. 

this was good - certain parts read A LOT like Archive 81, to the point where i thought the book ripped off the plot of the show. But some things were different enough for me to really enjoy the story. 

What a charmingly bizarre little book. 

My god, did I hate Shiraha. That man can gtfo. 

This book was amazing. Five stars. The creepy vibes were immaculate. I was legit scared while reading this book. 

 

Also, let’s talk about Anna's family. They were fucking horrible. Treated Anna like shit because they were jealous of her, but still depended on her for everything - just the expectation that she would cater to them and help them while they trashed on her. I was SO MAD. 

The ending was beautiful. This will def be on my top books of 2024 list.

I really tried with this - I was so excited to pick this up at first, but it just didn't grab me. I'm bummed. I wanted this to be a 5 star.

super entertaining - Spooky AND educational =) Night at the Museum vibes. 

Ok this would have been a 4.5 but one full point is deducted because of that absolute bullshit ending with Jake the dog. NOBODY ASKED FOR THAT. NOBODY WANTS THAT IN THE BOOKS THEY READ. I don't recommend this book.
