wow I really enjoyed this book. A gothic, witchy fantasy with a compelling mystery. Great fall vibes.
I guessed the nefarious party early on, but the reveals were so much more than I imagined.

This was PHENOMENAL.
Deducting .25 because of that dog death scene which i skipped the fuck right over. Can we stop doing this, please?

Not at all what I was expecting but this was such a good read! A story about a super troubled marriage told through letters & transcripts.
wow this was fun. I stayed up WAY TOO LATE reading this. five stars for entertainment.
I’m legit mad at the people who recommended this book. I bought this shit. Booo.
I probably should have read the tropes because the naive virgin FMC thing isn’t my jam. I also don’t like bully MMC’s.
The stars are for the training camp scenes - I love me a training camp. Obviously, I shall NOT be continuing this series.

A memoir about a woman’s 10 year tenure at Amazon.
- holy shit these stories are WILD. Amazon is a bonkers company. (Also deeply evil, don’t shop there unless you have to)
- A big part of the book covers Coulter’s experience working with Amazon Publishing - super interesting stuff.
- Dropping the book half a star because I don’t think Coulter got deep enough into all of the scandals and ways Amazon sucks, aside from the corporate overworking/abuse, goal post shifting, guys club, etc
entertaining. I'm not sure I'm down to read the whole 5 book series, but I liked the book well enough.
I really enjoyed this romantasy! the beginning was a bit rough with all of the info dumping and repeated use of "monster" and "monster war", but things leveled out and got really good. I still really think the author could have come up with literally any word besides "monster" but oh well. Will def read the sequel!
quick, fun read. Almost every character was unlikable and made really bad decisions but the story was so entertaining! I guessed part of the plot early on, but there were definitely some good surprises. Def recommend as a fun vacation read.
